Dear Friend,

[1-2014 letter] If you went into a voting booth and confronted a referendum that would grant millions of illegal aliens permanent resident status – and eventually full citizenship – in the United States, would you vote "YES" or "NO?"

This is a very important question. And I need you to answer it immediately. Now that President Barack Obama is in his second term, the cloves are off. Open border advocates are as determined as ever to pass amnesty legislation for the millions of illegal aliens currently living in our country.

AND UNLESS YOU ANSWER THIS LETTER TODAY, THEY STAND A GOOD CHANCE OF WINNING THIS BATTLE AND YOU WON'T HAVE ANY SAY IN THE MATTER.

If you don't act now, you will have to quietly accept the fact that millions of immigrants who blatantly broke the law by sneaking into our country are eventually going to be handed the most valuable thing in the world today – American citizenship.

Despite today's harsh economic climate these law-breakers will be rewarded by having full access to our schools, health care, jobs, subsidized housing, food stamps, Social Security and other government services... while you and other hard-working Americans pay tens of billions of dollars more in taxes to cover the costs.

At a time when millions of law-abiding American workers are losing their jobs, the last thing our leaders should be doing is making it easier for illegal intruders to remain in jobs they had no right to have in the first place.

That's why I ask you to take one of the YES/NO stickers I've attached to the outer envelope and use it today to cast your "vote" on the [requested] enclosed NATIONAL AMNESTY BALLOT.

As president of FAIR, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, I'm urging you to cast a "NO" vote and join us in the FAIR Fight against any costly and destructive amnesty and citizenship plan. FAIR has a 35 year history and a solid, successful record of fighting for immigration reforms that serve the economic, environmental, and societal interests of our nation.

One of FAIR's near-term priorities – to derail the rush to instantly "legalize" countless millions of illegal immigrants – is driven by our genuine concern for the future of our nation, which I know you share.

Your "NO" vote will send a powerful message that you want Congress and the White House to get tough on immigration and not let America become a haven for illegal immigrants who have no respect for our laws. Yet that is precisely what our nation will become...if you and I let it.

As America's foremost public interest group dedicated to ending illegal immigration and reducing legal immigration, FAIR is supported by citizens united in the belief that all Americans deserve a good quality of life, both today and tomorrow.

Protecting that quality of life for your family begins with you. Let me explain what we are up against.

Many powerful lobbying groups are invigorated by President Obama' s victory and the Democratic majority in the Senate and will stop at nothing to try to enact unworkable, unrealistic new immigration laws that are made to be broken.

Many members of Congress are actively working with these groups to push full-scale amnesty despite polls that show that by a margin of 3 to 1 Americans prefer border and workplace enforcement as the best approach to deal with this problem. FAIR is dedicated to fighting for these goals rather than putting millions of illegal aliens on the path to citizenship and creating terrible immigration precedents for the future.

No one really knows how many people actually live inside the U.S. illegally. While the figure of 12 to 20 million people has been cited during Senate debates, that is only an estimate.

You would think that the push for a massive amnesty program would have completely disintegrated following the tragic events of 9-11 and many subsequent terrorist attempts on US soil. But even more recently, Congress considered a far-reaching amnesty bill called the "Dream Act." With a mighty effort from FAIR that bill was defeated, yet today we continue to fight the FAIR Fight against President Obama's apparent disregard for the will of Congress as his administration openly refuses to enforce the rule of law and deport illegal aliens who are apprehended living and working in the USA.

In 1986, Congress passed an amnesty for illegal immigrants as a "solution" to the growing problem of illegal immigration. That action sent a signal to millions of others around the world to sneak into America anyway possible in the hopes they could benefit from another amnesty program in the future. That future is here now!

Having learned nothing from the 1986 mistake, politicians from both parties are going down the same road hoping you won't notice that they're pandering for votes while selling out the future of our nation.

And it's not just U.S. politicians who are pushing for amnesty. Mexico's government – in a direct affront to our nation's sovereignty – consistently urges its citizens living in the United States to increase their political activism and to gain more political clout in the U.S.

Thankfully, numbers count in politics and public opinion can turn things around. So, with your help today, we can win this battle and preserve the future safety, security, and solvency of our nation.

For more than 30 years, FAIR has been the go-to source for Members of Congress and the media about immigration facts. We have been active and aggressive in securing common sense immigration reform that best serves our nation. And FAIR is constantly in the national media talking about the devastating costs – both short and long term – you and other hard-working Americans pay for the vast numbers of illegal immigrants.

FAIR IS COMMITTED TO BEING VIGILANT AND TO PROTECT THE BEST INTEREST OF ALL AMERICANS. WE WILL CONTINUE TO EDUCATE ALL AMERICANS ON THE NEED TO SPEAK UP AND DEMAND THAT CONGRESS STOP ANY AMNESTY PROGRAM – DEAD IN ITS TRACKS!

As America's soldiers continue to fight and die to protect our nation from terrorism and our nation confronts a widespread recession, now is surely not the time to open our borders to those who do not respect U.S. laws.

That is why I need you to act immediately to cast a "NO" vote on this very critical issue when you return your NATIONAL AMNESTY BALLOT.

That is why I need you to act immediately to cast a "NO" vote on this very critical issue when you return your NATIONAL AMNESTY BALLOT.

And because it is vital that FAIR have the funds to fight and win this battle for you and your family, I also urge you to enclose a generous contribution today.

The idea of rewarding millions of illegal immigrants with American citizenship when we are already confronted with large budget deficits, crowded schools, overtaxed medical services, an unstable Social Security system, traffic gridlock, and diminishing water and energy resources, is absolutely outrageous.

Throwing open America's doors and granting another amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants will end up having disastrous economic consequences for our nation.

IF WE ARE GOING TO STOP THIS ENDLESS CYCLE, WE MUST ACT NOW!

We must keep the pressure on our nation's leaders to enforce current laws against illegal immigration and make sure that no amnesty legislation is passed!

I URGE YOU TO ACT TODAY AND RETURN YOUR NATIONAL AMNESTY BALLOT WITH YOUR "NO" VOTE ATTACHED.

Because FAIR must get the truth out on many costly media fronts that include newspaper, TV and radio to rally Americans to stop all amnesty proposals, I urge you to send back your ballot with a check or credit card contribution of $20, $50, $100, $250, or the most generous amount you can send.

Your family has a great stake in the outcome of the amnesty debate.

Can we really afford to allow enactment of MY amnesty legislation? I'll leave that answer up to you. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Dan Stein

President

P.S.    Your "NO" vote today – along with a generous contribution – will help us win the FAIR Fight against the special interests.

LOOK WHO WE'RE UP AGAINST!

PLEASE DON'T LET THEM REDEFINE AMERICA'S FUTURE!

All of the organizations listed below are working hard to secure more benefits and rewards for the millions of illegal immigrants already in our country and the millions more who will continue to cross our borders unless the U.S. government stands firm in its commitment to enforce our laws.

Many of the groups below, including the Mexican government, advocate for open borders, and "social justice." All are aggressive in their lobbying efforts to provide illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. They will succeed in their quest unless we actively stand up to them in Congress, state legislatures and governments at all levels.

The Mexican government has deep financial resources to invest in this battle. While it is impossible for FAIR to match the tens of millions of dollars the other groups receive from foundations, unions, and corporate America, FAIR has the support of an overwhelming majority of Americans.

Americans have consistently made it clear that they DO want the government to stop the flow of illegal immigration into the U.S. and DO NOT want to extend benefits and citizenship to illegal aliens.

Your contribution will help ensure FAIR has the financial resources to continue to educate and inform our legislators and citizens, and rally millions of Americans to fight back to protect our nation against the damaging effects of mass legal and illegal immigration.

Below is just a sample of the dozens of groups nationwide working to undermine our nation's ability to fight the ever-growing illegal immigration crisis. So far, they have not prevailed because FAIR, immigration reform advocates, and public opinion have halted their progress at every turn in Washington, DC and in cities and state capitals across the country.

We need your help to continue to stand firm against these

rich, powerful – and organized – opponents.
