Sustainable Development and Agenda 21

Dear Friend,

[Partial letter] ...let me tell you about a dramatic battle that is beginning to form across the nation to take back our Republic. As I'm sure you know, for several years the United Nations has been on a drive to establish global governance, seeking to destroy our national independence.

Since 1992, that effort has been waged mostly through a plan called Agenda 21, and its policy of Sustainable Development. It is the blue print to bring about global governance – all hidden behind excuses of environmental protection.

You've heard of Agenda 21 through different names, including Cap and Trade, Smart Growth, Global Warming, Social Justice and Public/Private Partnerships, to name a few.

Worse, Sustainable Development has been quietly and effectively imposed on local communities where it is called community "visioning," historic preservation or "orderly" development. Many times city fathers have been unaware that they are actually enforcing international policy. Today, almost every community in the nation has begun to implement at least some of the Agenda 21 policy.

For the past 15 years, my organization, the American Policy Center (APC) has been one of the only voices in the nation sounding the alarm against Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development. I have to tell you that, for most of those years, my warnings have fallen on deaf ears as people failed to understand the dangers of Agenda 21's top-down control policy.

However, I'm excited to tell you that APC is beginning to have a major impact on the fight to expose and kill Sustainable Development in several cities across the nation. It started last year when I published an article on Sustainable Development, entitled "Tea Parties Cannot Win Back The Republic Without This Information"...

Before that article, Tea Parties were missing the greatest threat to our Republic – Sustainable Development. The Tea Party rallies were out there on the street protesting FEDERAL policies like healthcare and taxes. Meanwhile, down in the basement of their city hall, international organizations like the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) were slowly turning their communities into little "soviets."

ICLEI helped write Agenda 21 for the United Nations and now has made its goal to enforce it in every community in the world. Worse, those communities actually pay ICLEI dues to help them do it. ICLEI takes over a community, creating non-elected boards and council and regional governments – answerable to no one. That is the definition of a "soviet:" Powerful government agencies, run by non-elected bureaucrats, answerable to no one.

ICLEI and Sustainable Development are like a cancer on the life of your community. Local representation through your local government dies. And that is the message the vocal Tea Parties were missing. This is my message to the Tea Parties: You cannot save our Republic if your local community is a little "Soviet."

Suddenly, after my article was published, things began to change. And today, I'm excited to say, after more than 15 years of attempting to sound the alarm against Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development, the word is starting to get out. People are starting to listen to us.

It's only baby steps at this point – but steps forward, none-the-less! If we are to save this precious country, every American must be warned so that we can stop the Un's Agenda 21 monster before it destroys our way of life. Here are just some of the important developments that APC has helped to bring about.

· APC has mailed more than 150,000 letters to Americans across the nation along with a special report exposing Sustainable Development and the actions of ICLEI. The report included a list of 544 American cities where ICLEI is now paid dues from community taxes to impose Sustainable Development polices.

That special report also contained a sample petition for local residents to use in their own City Councils to demand information about Sustainable Development in their communities.

Now, as the report continues to mail to more and more cities, APC's phones are ringing off the hook with Americans requesting more copies to pass out in their communities.

· As the mailings are delivered Americans are starting to take action in their city and county governments.

I am receiving copies of letters citizens have written to city hall, demanding answers. I have received e-mails from supporters telling me of their experiences in front of City Council as they demand answers from elected officials.

I am also receiving messages from others telling me that they spoke to Tea Party rallies about Sustainable Development, using APC documents. Others have requested materials to pass out at still more rallies.

· I am now being invited to speak to Tea Party rallies and bring the message about Sustainable Development to large crowds.

Last July 4th I spoke to a Tea Party in Atlanta, GA. At first the crowd was dead silent. I thought I had lost them. Then I realized they were actually taking notes. After I was finished, I walked through the crowd and people rushed up to me asking for more information. "Can this be true?" asked several people.

In Greenville, I made two speeches during that weekend. First to a dinner of local Greenville leaders, including several elected officials. The next day, the Tea Party Rally was attended by over 5,000 people. Both of my talks received significant newspaper coverage.

· In March of last year, I was invited to speak to two Republican Lincoln Day dinners, one in Kalispell, Montana, and a week later, in Spokane, Washington.

My talks started a firestorm of activity as these are both Agenda 21- targeted cities. A war broke out between local officials who are trying to impose Sustainable Development and local limited-government activists who are now trying to stop it.

In both cities I spoke to approximately 350 people each. Several months later, with the storm still raging, my associate Michael Shaw, of Freedom Advocates, traveled to Spokane and Kalispell, speaking to at least 1000. And the activism continues to grow.

In Spokane, there are now two measures on the local ballot for this November – one demands that the city council stop payment of dues to ICLEI, and the second demands the repeal of current Sustainable Development policies. Both were actions I recommended when I spoke there. I learned this morning that both of these ballot measures are starting to gain support.

· We have now distributed several thousand copies of our DVD, "America's Choice Liberty or Sustainable Development." There are several more video presentations of my speeches (and those of Michael Shaw and others) on the internet.

· I've had numerous articles published in newspapers and across the Internet. (As I'm writing this another call has just come in for more copies of our Sustainable Development report).

· Just a few months ago I was able to publish my first book "Sustainable Development – The Wrenching Transformation of America – How we are losing our liberties." We have now distributed several thousand copies.

· Just a few weeks ago APC sponsored the Freedom Action National Conference at Valley Forge, PA. The conference featured the very best experts on Sustainable Development and presented workshops to teach attendees how to fight back in their local communities.

· And finally, APC has just launched a new web site www.sustainabledevelopment.com. This is the most important internet domain name on the subject. Now, whenever a teacher gives an assignment to his class on Sustainable Development, the first thing the students will do is look up our website and get our information on the dangers of Sustainable Development, rather than UN propaganda.

I would love to see a teacher's face as he/she starts to read reports from students who have visited our web site! These are important and vital steps forward in our fight to stop the UN's Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development.

Only a few years ago it looked hopeless. APC has been fighting this monster since 1992. Few were listening to our warnings. Very few were joining our fight. But I stuck with it. Looking for ways to get the message heard. Seeking every opportunity to bring more to our cause.

I knew the Tea Party movement was a major opportunity – if only these dedicated patriots could be made to understand. That is finally happening. And now we are moving forward.

I've told you all of this to let you know that APC is making a huge difference in this fight. Now I am ready to take my boldest action of all to bring this fight directly to the cities where Agenda 21 is being enforced.

I am now assembling a team of experts on Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development. We are going to work with local activists to come into communities and do a day long program to educate and alert the citizens and their elected officials.

Again, I will tell you, Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development are at the root of nearly all the issues you and I fight. That includes the battle to stop illegal immigration.

The federal government will take no action to stop the flood of illegals and protect our borders because of our agreement to enforce Agenda 21. The UN says national borders are a "social injustice" or "racism" right out of the Sustainable Development documents.

Obama's healthcare "reform" is right out of the sustainable healthcare playbook and it really does call for rationing of healthcare in order to cut populations as a way to protect the environment – I kid you not.

The shocking Supreme Court "Kelo" decision, which ruled that no private property in the nation is safe from eminent domain, was made specifically to comply with Agenda 21 – which could never be fully implemented without the power to bulldoze property at will. The Supreme Court did its job well.

These are just some of the examples of now Sustainable Development is tied to every issue we face. Al Gore called it a "wrenching transformation" of our society.

Sustainable Development is not about protecting the environment – it is about wealth redistribution.

It is the reason why American jobs are leaving our nation.

It is the reason why our economy is being destroyed.

It is the reason why we have lost control of our government.

There is no point in fighting these issues one at a time. We will lose. We must go after the root of the threat. That root to all the battles we face is the UN's Agenda 21.

These are the reasons I have dedicated my life to stopping Sustainable Development. We cannot save America and our way of life if we don't kill Sustainable Development.
