I do not completely understand either. I believe we are all sometimes
afraid of trouble and we may close our eyes to it. Many believe that
God would not let His Church suffer so. We have got to understand
if we follow Christ we are also going to suffer with Him. Many Holy
Bibles lay on tables collecting dust. We each need to take the truth
and analyze it for ourself, and not depend on others to do everything for
us. Our world is full of temporary answers for our question and fixes
that do not require much input. We can easily go with the flow and
accept the answers that are given to us or we each can seek them out for
ourself and become a leader. It is not wrong to be a follower, for
we all are; but whenever things become too easy, we usually get fat and
worthless to ones around us. I believe we should all become leaders
to a certain extent. People around us see the things we do and hear
the things we say, and may be apt to follow if it looks right and appealing.
A lot of times I unconsciously do things. It maybe out of habit,
a tradition, it maybe the easiest way of doing something, or maybe someone
else has done it that way. I believe human beings will take the path
of the lest resistance. If someone has an easier way of doing something
let's do it that way. If complacent Christians will learn that we
are at war with the devil and need to win all the souls we can for Christ.
We need to press toward the mark of the high calling of God. Becoming
all we can in the army of the Lord. God has given all of us talents;
and if we need more, we need to ask for more and pursue them.
A lot of Christians just do not have the time, or should I say, take
the time out of their busy schedule to be an active soldier. We all
need to exercise the word in our lives, but I guess some Christians will
never grow up, take the sword and be prepared to be at least a reserve
soldier in case of crisis. We all need each other and we all should
be growing. Spiritually if we stop growing, we will be like a tree
that will start to die because we are not getting the water and nourishment
of the word. We all need to be learning the truths of
God's word, for it is written in a way that we can always be learning,
either it be old or at times, something new and refreshing.
Many leaders do not want the followers to know the real truth.
For when Jesus told them the truth about what was expected of them when
they followed him, they left Him and went back. Most leaders want to have big
not small followings. If churches do not have
numbers, they might believe they are not doing something right.
If the leaders speak the truth the church is going to grow in the right
time, when God gives the increase. Leaders take passed around information
about how to get many followers, but do not really show how to become a
true soldier equipped with the word of God. Memorization is fine
and we need to do it; but according to 2 Timothy 2:15, we need to study
and rightly divide the word. We do know the truth, and they
need to know it too. We need to press the issue of Post Tribulation Rapture
no matter if the numbers dwindle. Quality is so much more important
than numbers.
With Love in Christ!
