Yes, finally another great website to help me in my journey to find as
many scriptures about post-trib rapture as possible. I have always
been a believer that we will go through the tribulation, it was how I
was raised, but my wife doesn't believe that way, and until now, I
never knew the scriptures to support what I believe, if there are any
other great websites that you would recommed please e-mail me and let
me know, may God continue to lead you in truth and in light, and pray
that God will continue to reveal his true way in his WORD.
In Christ Alone, Scott

Dear Brother Mailman,
I am real happy that you have found my study and do understand some truths about the Post
Tribulation Rapture. Please read my Bible study in its entirety. I want to add more to it and
get the truth out to as many as I can and especially to those that have been blinded by the
false Pre Tribulation Rapture teaching. I believed it for years until God's Holy Spirit led me
to study the word -- that is forever teaching, correcting, rebuking, exhorting, building,
furnishing and preparing me for the day of His return. We were never promised that we
would never have troubles nor trials. But this, Jesus did overcome,
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the
world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the
world." (John 16:33 KJV)
and in Him we will overcome.
"To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also
overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." (Rev 3:21 KJV)
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their
testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." (Rev 12:11 KJV)
This world of troubles is only very short time compared to eternity.
"But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have
wives be as though they had none;" (1 Cor 7:29 KJV)
"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the
inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." (Rev
12:12 KJV)
"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the
sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."
(Rev 22:5 KJV)
Maybe one of the reasons so many church members believe in the Pre-Trib Rapture theory
(could be better than 95% of the Church) is because it is so popular, and some of the most
prominent leaders in some of the biggest churches teach it. It is so easy to follow crowds.
When you stand alone with God you have a chance to learn some great truths. One
individual will never know it all; but each one of us, if we let God show us, will be shown
some teaching that will help build-up the Church and free it from Satan's grasp. Sure God is
the one who really saves and does those wonderful works, but we can be the instrument and
vessel that He brings the works through.
Through my Contents, Links, and Search page, there are many searches and readings that
might interest you. If I run across any extraordinary studies I will try to remember to inform
you. Please do the same for me.
Thank you Mailman!

Question:
Subject: Holy Ghost
Date: Thu, 31 Dec 1998 10:31:04 -0800 (PST)
From: The Mailman
To: Last Trump
Another belief in which I was raised, is the belief that the Holy
Ghost must be applied, in order to make it into Heaven. While as I
stated in my first message, I have been trying to find scriptures that
my belief is based on, I am a Holiness believer, my wife is
Pentecostal (Church of God), and though the beliefs are similar, there
are some things that I don't agree with that her church teaches, The
Rapture, among others. But anyway, back to the Holy Ghost, Just as
Titus 3:5 states, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of
regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." And I believe that
speaking in tounges is the witness of the Holy Ghost. So, I believe
that one must be baptized in the Holy Ghost. I don't believe that
Jesus and his deciples would have taught us so much about the Holy
Ghost (comforter) for us to just leave it out of our lives. "It is the
Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth." I hope you
think I am not arguing anything, I am actually only bored and just
want someone to talk to about God, and his true Word. If you have any
thoughts, send them right on, I would love to know what your beliefs
are, what denomination, and how God let you know about the Post-Trib
"rapture". I only have internet at work, so it may take a few days to
respond sometimes. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Bro Scott,
Forgive me if I have not got back in touch with you until now on your questions. I will be
giving you a couple of things the Lord is showing me on understanding more about the Spirit
and about the Post Trib rapture. The next day or so when time permits I will finish up a few
words I have to say on the subjects. In the mean time, study some more of my Bible study.
Unveiling and (Great) Tribulation directories may be a good place to go if you haven't studied
them yet. God has given us much to study. As we sincerely read His word God will get the
true message across to those in our reach.
Be bold, and remember the way to life is narrow -- there will be few to find it.

Al's reply:
Bro Scott,
I hope I can give you some things on salvation and the Holy Spirit that may be some help. To
more understand the necessity of the Holy Spirit in our salvation experience, we'll consider
2 Chronicles 1-7 as a reference where Solomon's temple, the furnishings, offerings and
sacrifices and the dedication are discussed. Solomon said:
"Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet
incense, and for the continual showbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and
on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel." (2
Chr 2:4 KJV)
With men's hands this temple was built and furnished. But then there is a more perfect
tabernacle not made with hands.
"But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not
made with hands, that is, not of this creation." (Heb 9:11 NKJV)
We know the temple of God in the New Testament sense is Jesus Christ, because He said he would
destroy the temple and raise it up again in three days. At the time He said that statement,
most thought He was talking about Herod's temple, but He wasn't, He was talking about His
body (putting to death the handwriting of ordinances, Colossians 2:14).
"Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." (John 2:19 KJV)
What Jesus was saying here is He had power to lay down His life for His sheep (John 10:15) and
to take it again (John 10:17-18). To better understand Jesus represented as a temple, look
in the book of Revelation.
"And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it." (Rev 21:22 KJV)
Looking at Solomon's temple as an analogy, Jesus is not only the temple and its instruments,
but also the sacrifices and offerings. Isaiah said that God made His (Jesus') soul an
offering for sin (Isa 53:10). Keep in mind, Jesus, who took on a body of flesh (1 Tim 3:16)
and shed His blood on Calvary for our sins (Rev 1:5), is all that is necessary for our salvation,
and it is the Holy Spirit who seals us unto the day of redemption (Eph 4:30 KJV). God
would much rather dwell in our hearts than in inanimate objects. God was in Christ
reconciling the world unto Himself (2 Cor 5:19). To help understand Pentecost and how we
each become temples of God, let's look at the following scripture at what happened during the
dedication of Solomon's temple when the people joined as one in praising and thanking the LORD.
"It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and
thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music,
and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with
a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for
the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God." (2 Chr 5:13-14 KJV)
The Glory of the LORD filled the temple. Isn't that what happened at the day of Pentecost
when the believers were in one accord (Acts 2:1-4)? During the dedication, fire came down
from heaven and consumed the sacrifices and offering.
"Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt
offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the
house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house. ... And king Solomon offered
a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the
people dedicated the house of God." (2 Chr 7:1-2&5 KJV)
God wants all of what is offered to Him and that includes our whole spirit and soul and body
(1 Timothy 5:3). Isn't there some things at the dedication that happens in our salvation
experience. As we follow Jesus' example,
"And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then
he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens
were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a
voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Mat 3:15, 16-17 KJV)
we get endowed with the fire and the Spirit of God. We know Jesus is of the Triune God and
didn't need to be saved. Jesus was already given the Spirit without measure (John 3:34-35),
and at His baptism the Holy Spirit descended upon Him -- the dove representing His anointing.
He was anointed to preach the Gospel to the poor (Luke 4:17-19).
After we hear the Gospel message and we understand it, we are baptized with water. Following
in the foots steps of our Lord, God fills us with His Holy Spirit and we become sons of God
(Gal 4:5-6). Our bodies become holy vessels were God lives.
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the
temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (1 Cor 3:16-17 KJV)
(Solomon's temple was destroyed after it was defiled and I believe the same thing could happen
to us.) At the day of Pentecost, cloven tongues like as of fire sat on each of the
participants and they were filled with the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:1-4). John the Baptist said he
baptized with water, but there would be one greater than him that would baptize with fire
and the Holy Spirit (Mat 3:11). We become living sacrifices (Rom 12:1), that are consumed by
the fire of God, and temples of the living God (1 Cor 3:16-17). The analogies of that which
pertaineth to Solomon's temple dedication are there without a question. At the day of
Pentecost there came a rushing mighty wind from heaven, and it filled all the house, and there
appeared unto them that where sitting cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat on each of them,
and they where filled with the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:1-4). Paul says if we do not have the
Spirit of Christ we do not belong to Him.
"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." (Rom 8:9 KJV)
God seals us unto the day of redemption.
"And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." (Eph 4:30 KJV)
The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, which ever name (for they both are derive from the same Greek
word) you want to use for Him, is very important for our salvation experience. I pray as
you study more on this subject, the seed that God has planted in your heart will grow in the
direction of maturity and bear more fruit. "To God be the Glory".
With Love In Christ!
