Question:

Could you please help me look for something.....
I am in 1 of two bible studies that we are allowed to have at my office.
We will be meeting again on Thursday. Well last Thurs. the question came
up.....
People who have heard the "word" and believe will be raptured up when
Jesus comes back.  Will people that have heard the "word" but did not
accept Jesus be able to have Salvation after the rapture and  at some
point go to heaven as everyone else.  I have looked thru Rev., Daniel,
Ezeckial, Zec., Thess., but all I can find is that if you believe before
Jesus comes back you will be taken.   But in Revelation's-- it explains
that there will be 2 different marks   one of God and one of Satan.
Why would there be 2 different marks if God wasn't going to give people
a second chance.  I understand that too many people have turned there
back on him know but....
Please help me with a response ASAP it will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time,

Second Chance?

We can first go to Matthew 13:3-23 were Jesus discusses the sower (Jesus) and the sowed seed (the word). My short synopsis of some people I see in this parable: One heard the word, received it into his heart, believed and brought forth fruit; another received the word, but loved the world more than he did Jesus and did not bring forth fruit; still another received the word, did not have root in himself, but backed down (was offended) when the test of tribulation and persecution came; and another when he heard the word, he did not understand it, the wicked one took it from his heart.  Other people were like some of the scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites who seen the very miracles of Jesus, but did not repent and believe. They were spiritually blind.  Their hearts were not right with God.  Jesus said in Mat 23:25, "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess". Take in consideration the kind of people that are mentioned.

Every soul and heart needs to decide what they will do with Jesus.  Under different circumstances, whether under conviction or judgment, upon seeing miracles, or whatever, people have a chance to come to Christ.  Some will never come to Christ no matter if the heavens come down.  I believe God is working to save all if it were possible (1 Tim 2:3&4), and He gives all of us more than one or two chances to accept His salvation. For some, God may call them the first time, and they will come to Him.  For others it might take God persuading them many times in their life time.  I do believe God does reach a limit on calling some people, like with the ones in Romans 1:18-32.  God does the calling (Acts 2:39) and drawing (John 6:44), and His Holy Spirit reproves (John 16:8).  I do not believe the chances we get are nearly as important as who God is really seeking.  Jesus said in John 4:23,  "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him".  God alone knows our hearts and knows who will come to Him.  I believe the ones who come to Him are so much more important than how many chances we get.  I do believe accepting Christ is a one time advent in each believers life.

Will there be any more saved after Jesus takes His Church?  Every eye is going to see Him (Rev 1:7). This miraculous event may cause some to repent, which is essential for salvation (Luke 13:3); but according to Revelation 16, the men who worshipped the image or received the mark did not repent, even when the plagues were upon them.  The ones on thrones, who did not worship the image neither the beast nor receive the mark (Rev 20:4), will reign with Christ.  The ones who will endure unto the end the same shall be saved (Mat 24:13).

Will there be any more left a live on earth after Jesus takes His Church and can they become Christians?  If they aren't saved, I believe they will have a chance to repent.  Christ is going to rule for a thousand years (Rev 20:4) here on the earth, and according to Isaiah 65:20, there will be people living and dying during that time.  Every person has a soul and will still have decisions to make, whether to accept or reject Christ.  According to Zec 14:16, "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles".  I believe the souls, who will accept Christ during that period, will be some of the ones at the Great White Throne when the books are opened and their names are found in the Book of Life (Rev 20:11&12).

Yes I believe some not all will get another chance after Christ comes.

Love in Christ!
Al
