Dear Pro-Lifer,

Every year, the unborn children of tens of thousands of teenage mothers die in our nation's abortion mills . . . against the counsel of parents or without even their knowledge. This slaughter of the innocent unborn is an outrage that must be stopped!

As you know, the main focus of your National Pro-Life Alliance's work has always been to legislatively overturn Roe v. Wade. At the same time, you and I must also continue to combat the abortionists wherever the opportunity arises.

And given the overwhelming public support for parental involvement before an abortion, the Parental Notification and Intervention Act is just such an opportunity.

You see, more than seventy percent of Americans favor limiting unsupervised teen abortions. And many states nationwide have passed such laws.

Unfortunately -- without a federal law -- even in states with parental notification, parents are left completely in the dark when a child abuser evades the law by simply taking his victim to another state without such safeguards.

Also, thousands of babies are sentenced to death by judges who grant judicial bypass so routinely to minors that all too often the state laws are not enforced.

That's why it is so important you sign the [requested] enclosed petitions to your Congressman and Senators – urging them to cosponsor the Parental Notification and Intervention Act.

And will you also sign the special petitions to House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell urging their support?

The fact is, a full, national campaign over the Parental Notification and Intervention Act will ultimately help you and me build momentum in Congress for an end to ALL abortion-on-demand.

You see, just by increasing the pressure for and debate on parental intervention, you and I will publicly expose the radical nature of the pro-abortion politicians.

Voters will be incensed at politicians who vote to completely shut out parents from this life-and-death decision. Yet as damaging as it is to them politically, the abortion industry will never agree to this measure that would decimate their lucrative business of luring minors.

Since pro-abortion politicians understand better than anyone the danger the Parental Notification and Intervention Act poses to them, they will fight tooth and nail to prevent a vote.

That's why it is so important you and I DOUBLE our pressure on the United States Congress to build cosponsors and get action on this bill.

When Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) introduces our bill, it's vital you and I be ready to generate a surge of support and cosponsors if we are to ultimately get a vote.

Your Pro-Life Alliance's Parental Notification and Intervention Act makes it illegal to perform an abortion on a minor ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY unless the physician has given four days notice to both parents or the legal guardian.

Most importantly, at any time either parent or guardian may object and have the legal right to STOP the abortion with very strict limitations on judicial bypasses.

Whereas: More than one and a half million unborn babies are killed each year in America, tens of thousands of them who were conceived by a minor out of wedlock; and

Whereas: Activist pro-abortion judges routinely render state parental intervention laws ineffective by rubber-stamping 'judicial bypass" requests so often that many laws are rarely enforced; and

Whereas: The lack of a unified national law makes it easy to avoid state parental involvement laws simply by transporting teenage girls to neighboring states without such safeguards; and

Whereas: Passage of a tough, national parental intervention law would in the coming years not only save the lives of tens of thousands of innocent babies, but would also build momentum for an end to all abortion-on-demand by exposing the radical nature of pro-abortion politicians.

Therefore: I urge you to cosponsor and do all in your power to pass the Parental Notification and Intervention Act which would give parents in all fifty states the right to stop an abortion on their minor daughter.
