Dear Pro-Lifer,
This
past year has seen many crucial battles for the pro-life movement. Already in
this Congress, you and I have increased House and Senate support for our Life at Conception Act, and are poised to
make pro-abortion politicians pay a heavy political price this November
[mid-term elections] for their insistence on taxpayer funding of abortion.
But today I'm worried. You see, I want to be
absolutely sure you received an important letter I sent you recently. It was
dated December 27, 2013 and
contained your 2014 NPLA Membership Card. At that time, I asked you to renew
your membership in the National Pro-Life Alliance.
But
this past week I double-checked my records and, unless we missed it, I still
haven't heard from you. If you did not receive your card, let me know at once.
If you did receive your card and have already responded, then forgive me for
writing you so soon. But I didn't want to take the chance of losing you in
2014.
...you
are very important to the pro-life cause and all we are fighting for. So if you
haven't yet renewed your membership, I urge you to take this opportunity now. I
can't stress enough the urgency of you responding today.
Your
decision to stay with us advances the National Pro-Life Alliance's Legislative
Plan against abortion-on-demand in ways that can't be counted. The level of
support you've given to the efforts of the National Pro-Life Alliance is more
important than ever as we head into 2014 and beyond.
There
is no question that the pro-life movement still faces threats and challenges
from a pro-abortion White House and Senate. But you and I also have new
opportunities.
With
so many new Members of Congress claiming they are pro-life, it is vitally important
that you and I push to get them on record by insisting they cosponsor and vote
for effective pro-life protections like a Life
at Conception Act.
That's
why it is so important you and I not only reject the abortion lobby's agenda,
but force roll call votes on a Life at Conception Act which would end all
abortion-on-demand.
And,
of course, the beauty of a Life at Conception Act is that it would use Roe v.
Wade's own wording to end abortion-on-demand by guaranteeing all persons – including unborn children – are protected by
the Fourteenth
Amendment.
The
fact is, the very Supreme Court that wrote Roe v. Wade in 1973 admitted in that
decision that no such "right" to an abortion would exist if Congress
were to establish unborn children as "persons."
The ultimate passage of this bill and
ending all abortion remains the top offensive legislative priority for your
Pro-Life Alliance.
Meanwhile,
your National Pro-Life Alliance will continue its work to shut off the flow of taxpayer dollars to the abortion industry,
outlaw RU-486 and other chemical abortion pills, and fight hard to give parents
the right to stop teenage abortions.
You
can be proud of what you have accomplished . . . and encouraged about what your
grass-roots pressure can achieve in the upcoming year.
Your
financial help will allow the National Pro-Life Alliance to run the most
hard-hitting and aggressive lobbying campaign possible in Washington, D.C.
With
targeted TV, newspaper, and radio ads funded by your contributions, you and I
can keep the pressure on wavering politicians. NPLA's combined federal and
state-by-state strategy of targeted mail, follow-up phone calls and media is
very effective, but it is also time-consuming and costly.
With
the politicians already out looking for votes, it's crucial you and I intensify
our grass-roots efforts immediately.
But
the National Pro-Life Alliance is caught in a financial bind. I can't afford to
cut back in any area because all our lobbying programs are so critical.
We
must mobilize massive grass-roots pressure to overcome pro-abortion politicians
still in control of the White House and the Senate to:
*** Empower parents to stop an abortion from
being performed on their minor daughter by passing the Parental Notification
and Intervention Act;
*** Work to ban all so-called "home
abortion pills" and stop the Obama Administration from forcing all
Americans to buy insurance that must pay for abortifacient drugs like RU-486
and EllaOne;
*** Strip from the budget billions of tax
dollars that the White House hopes to channel to abortion providers like
Planned Parenthood, under the guise of "healthcare."
Politicians
from both political parties – particularly those new freshmen who claim to be
pro-life – must know that you and I will be demanding they make good on their
promises.
We
cannot allow the work you and I do defending the innocent unborn to be
neglected even for a minute. We've made tremendous strides in the fight to save
the lives of the innocent since you joined the National Pro-Life Alliance, and
I pray you will continue. The National Pro-Life Alliance owes its existence to
you.
So
I'm counting on you to renew your membership today with a generous contribution.
In my earlier letter, I asked you to renew as a Silver member with a membership
contribution of $50.
Because
of your past generosity, I didn't want to ask you for any more than necessary
for essential programs. So I estimated how much you and each of our members
would have to contribute to enable us to reach our minimum budget.
Your
contribution came to $50. I know this was a lot to ask. But since I didn't hear
from you, maybe I asked you for too much. If so, I hope you'll contribute at least
$25.
You're
a vital member of the team, so I hope I'm not out of line asking for that
amount. But whatever you send, you'll be a member in good standing for 2014.
Even
if you can't give $25, please do what you can. Every dollar is urgently needed
now. Pro-abortion politicians -- backed by a hostile media -- will try to
undermine everything you and I have accomplished and hope to accomplish.

know together you and I can ultimately end abortion-on-demand. But I can't do
it alone. I need you with me. Please don't abandon our fight now. Send $25

Dear Pro-Lifer,
We
hear you loud and clear. In response to our annual Membership Directive last
month, the number one priority of National
Pro-Life Alliance members is
to ultimately pass the Life at Conception Act which would overturn Roe v. Wade
and end abortion-on-demand.
Thanks
to your activism and that of other National Pro-Life Alliance members
nationwide, you and I have increased support for the Life at Conception Act in
each of the last five Congresses.
And
this year, if every Member of Congress who claims to be pro-life would actually
support the Life at Conception Act, we would have a majority as cosponsors in
this Congress.
Now to
keep the momentum growing, you and I must both continue to recruit more
cosponsors and push for both House and Senate votes on a Life at Conception
Act.
That's
why I hope you will sign and return [requested] enclosed petitions for my staff
and me to deliver to your Congressman and Senators.
In
the last election, most of the members in Congress either ran as pro-life
candidates or remained silent on the issue in their campaigns.
Now,
with this critical
mid-term election
being billed as a national referendum on Obama's presidency, you and I must
hold every politician's feet to the fire
and demand they come out unequivocally pro-life or face the consequences.
That's
why it's so important we do all we can to put politicians on record on the Life
at Conception Act. By simply defining life as beginning at the moment of
conception -- something that the 14th
Amendment to the U.S. Constitution permits Congress to do -- this bill
would legislatively overturn Roe v. Wade and end abortion-on-demand.
Even
the Supreme Court admitted that once the personhood of the unborn is
established the so-called right to abort will "collapse."
Thus,
a Life at Conception Act is the most feasible way to overturn Roe v. Wade and
end 40 years of abortion-on-demand in this country. And with the elections
approaching, it's no surprise to see the politicians more interested in your
opinion.
To
keep up the momentum, it is vital I have massive numbers of signed petitions
from you and other NPLA members in your state to present to your Senators and
Congressman urging them to take action on a Life at Conception Act.
I'd
like to see that our House and Senate bills receive yet another record level of
support in this session and ultimately win roll call votes in both the United
States House and Senate.
When
my staff and I visit Congressional offices in the coming weeks to urge floor
action on the Life at Conception Act, can I take with me petitions in your name
to your Congressman and Senators urging them to cosponsor and demand a vote on
a Life at Conception Act?
Repeatedly
lugging in a flood of petitions from voters will demonstrate to your Senators
and Congressman the urgency of taking action better than any words I can say.
Every
step you and I take to advance a Life at Conception Act is an important step
towards ending abortion-on-demand, because this issue clearly distinguishes the
true pro-life champions from the politicians who merely talk pro-life.
That's
why I hope you won't delay a moment to return your signed petitions so that I
can deliver them to your Congressman and Senators.
And,
along with your petitions to Congress, I hope I can count on your financial
support -- whether it's $100, $75, $50,
$25, or whatever you can afford -- to help pay for your National Pro-Life
Alliance's growing campaign to build support in Congress for an ultimate end to
abortion-on-demand.
It's
crucial you and I send a clear message to Congress that we're not leaving. As long as babies are being slaughtered
right in our own back yards, we will continue our fight with everything we've
got.

Petition to Overturn Roe v. Wade
to Congressman Vance McAllister
Whereas: In the last
election, the untold story is that most new Members of Congress either ran as
pro-life or were silent on the issue: and
Whereas: Because of Roe
v. Wade, more than 56 million unborn children have died through abortion; and
Whereas: In Roe v.
Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court declared it could not resolve 'the difficult
question of when life begins" – and on the basis of this unresolved
question, declared a new "right to abortion" based on a "right
of privacy;" and
Whereas: The 14th
Amendment to the Constitution states: "nor shall any state deprive any
person of life, liberty or property, without due process of law, nor deny to
any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law;" and
Whereas: In Roe, the
supreme Court admitted: 'If... personhood [for the unborn] is established, the
appellant's case, of course, collapses, for the fetus' right to life is then
guaranteed specifically by the [Fourteenth] Amendment..... (Roe v. Wade [410 US 113 at 156-7]); and
Whereas: The American
people oppose abortion-on-demand and want innocent human life to be protected
especially when it is most defenseless; and
Whereas: It belongs to
Congress to resolve the question the Supreme Court said IT cannot resolve; and
Whereas: A Life at
Conception Act, by declaring that unborn children are persons legally entitled
to constitutional protection, will rescue millions of unborn children from
dying by abortion-on-demand;
Therefore: I urge you to push for a vote on the Life at
Conception Act, and to do everything necessary to win ultimate passage in the
United States House of Representatives.

since the Supreme Court legalized the slaughter of the unborn in 1973. Without
