In
2012, Faith & Freedom conducted
the largest Christian voter registration, education, and turnout campaign ever
seen in America's history. In all, Faith & Freedom made 155.2 MILLION contacts with Christian
voters to explain what was at stake in the 2012 Election and why we have a
moral duty to save America by voting.
THE RESULT: We were able
to increase conservative Christian voter turnout in the 12 key
"swing" states from 22 to 27 percent of the electorate — which
translates to adding 2,700,000 votes to the conservative side in the 2012
Election.
In
other words, Faith & Freedom
Coalition did its job by increasing conservative Christian voter turnout by
18 percent in the key "swing" states over what it was in 2008.
Unfortunately, other elements of the GOP coalition stayed home on Election Day.
So President Obama managed to win a narrow tactical victory by spending more
than $1 BILLION.
Our Biggest Wins So Far
As
you may know from following the news, Faith
& Freedom had tremendous success in the 2010 mid-term Congressional
Elections, where we saw sweeping conservative victories at every level of
government. In the 2010 mid-term Elections, Faith & Freedom made 58 million contacts with Christian voters
(either via postal mail, a phone call, an email, text messages, a VOTER GUIDE,
and/or a personal visit).
Using
this same strategy, Faith & Freedom
also played a key role in helping Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker win his recall election in June of 2012. Faith & Freedom helped Scott Walker withstand a $45 MILLION
assault from the Left and the Big Labor Unions . . . because of the
"ground game" we built, mainly through the churches. Unfortunately,
we came up short in 2012 against Obama's massive $1 BILLION re-election
machine.
Why Obama Won Re-election in 2012
It's
my view that the National Republican Party made a huge mistake by stopping
almost all talk of ObamaCare in 2012
— even though focusing on the disaster of ObamaCare produced sweeping
conservative victories at every level of government in the 2010 mid-term
Elections. Had the National GOP continued to focus voter attention on
ObamaCare, I believe Barack Obama would have been a one-term President.
Barack
Obama managed to eek out a very narrow tactical re-election victory in 2012 because
he had a superior "ground game,"
and he was able to maximize voter turnout in the urban areas. Faith & Freedom is the only
organization on the conservative side that's emphasizing building a "ground game" that can match the
"ground game" of Barack
Obama, the Big Labor Unions, and the Left.
We
had great success in the 2010 mid-term Elections. We also had great success
with Governor Scott Walker's recall
election in June of 2012. We fell short in the 2012 Presidential Election.
There
are now a number of Republican leaders who are saying the problem is our
conservative principles. I could not
disagree more. We win elections when we emphasize our conservative,
pro-freedom, pro-Constitution principles. We lose when our candidates try to
sound more like liberals.
The
great Ronald Reagan proved this
truth over and over again. Reagan won by emphasizing his conservative (small
government) agenda, not by downplaying it.
Reasons for Optimism
Here's
why I am very optimistic about our prospect for huge victories in the 2014
Elections. In the sixth year of a Presidency, the President's party almost
always suffers major defeat in the mid-term Congressional Elections. This even
happened to the great President Reagan.
President
Obama's job approval ratings are dropping like a stone in water. ObamaCare is becoming even more
unpopular with each passing week. The more the ObamaCare law kicks in, the more
voters dislike it. Even the author of ObamaCare in the Senate — Max Baucus (D-MT) — is calling
ObamaCare a "train-wreck."
President
Obama's former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is calling ObamaCare
"a disaster and an embarrassment." President Obama's job approval
ratings are now in the mid 30s. I expect his job approval ratings to be down in
the low 30s by Election Day 2014.
The
2014 Elections will be America's opportunity to render a verdict on ObamaCare.
Remember, voter turnout in mid-term Congressional Elections is always much
lower than in Presidential Election years. For this reason, we have an
advantage in mid-term Elections, when the "low information" voters
who Obama and the Left rely on are not as motivated to vote.
For
all these reasons, I believe we can see sweeping victories at every level of
government in the 2014 mid-term Elections just like we saw in 2010 . . . IF we
stay focused, committed, and do our job.
FAITH & FREEDOM Is Making the 2014
Congressional Elections
All About the Disaster of ObamaCare
The
reality is, there is only one way to save America. And that's to UNDO and REPEAL ObamaCare. And there
is only one way to REPEAL ObamaCare. And that's to win conservative majority
control of the U.S. Senate in 2014 and keep conservative majority control of
the U.S. House of Representatives.
Faith & Freedom Coalition will be focused primarily on the nine key
battleground Senate races and 45 battleground House races — because these are
the races that will determine whether we can END this evil ObamaCare law that's
destroying our country.
No
doubt, you have watched in horror at the enormous damage Barack Hussein Obama has done to America in just a few short years. In 2008, Barack Obama promised he would "fundamentally transform"
America. How can
you love something you want to "fundamentally transform"?
By
"fundamentally transform,"
Barack Obama means transform America into his vision of an anti-Christian, anti-family,
socialistic horror. The main weapon Obama is using to achieve this is
ObamaCare.
The
2,700-page ObamaCare law now already has more than 15,000 pages of regulations
added to it. The ObamaCare law now
has 11,832,467 words of regulations, as I write you this letter. This makes the ObamaCare law now 16 times
longer than the entire Bible!
And
new ObamaCare regulations are being added every day. This is because ObamaCare has nothing to do with
providing you with high-quality, affordable health care. The purpose of ObamaCare is to control every aspect of
your life. Its purpose is to end freedom in America. ObamaCare is right now hiring 16,000 brand new IRS agents to enforce ObamaCare and is
building 159 brand new government agencies to administer ObamaCare.
When
Detroit radio host Paul W. Smith asked Democrat Congressman John Dingell why it will
take the government until 2014 to fully set up the ObamaCare system, Dingell
said this:
"It takes a long time to do the necessary
administrative steps that have to be taken to put the legislation together to control the people."

So
right there, Leftist Congressman John Dingell admits that the main purpose of
ObamaCare is to "control the people." Is it any wonder that
Cuba's Communist dictator Fidel Castro hailed the passage of ObamaCare as "a miracle"?
But
this is not what America is supposed to be about — government setting up a
vast Soviet-style bureaucratic apparatus to "control the people."
America quickly grew to become the freest, most prosperous nation
in human history because America was the first nation in history to be "conceived
in liberty." The purpose of government is stated in the preamble to our
Constitution — "to secure the
blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity."
ObamaCare and Barack Obama's entire socialist agenda is at war
with this principle this idea that made America great. When in the state legislature in Illinois, Obama made his hostility to our Constitution even
more clear in a radio interview when he called our Constitution "deeply flawed." He went on to say:
"1
think we can say that the Constitution reflected an enormous blind spot in this
culture that carries on until this day, and that the Framers had that same
blind spot . . . It also reflected the fundamental flaw of this country that
continues to this day."
In
another radio interview, Obama said
this:
"As
radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from
the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the
Constitution."
So President Obama has made it clear that
he considers the Constitution to be a flawed charter for government. He says he
wants to "break free" from the restraints the Constitution places on
government power. Barack Obama's
assault on America's entire Constitutional system is total on every
front.
He
doesn't believe in America's free-market system that has produced so much
prosperity for so many. He doesn't like America's Christian heritage or its moral values — which is
why he supports gay marriage, abortion-on-demand, constantly misquotes America's Declaration of Independence to omit God, and uses
the IRS to harass and silence
Christians. He recently omitted "under God" in his reciting of the
Gettysburg Address on its 150th anniversary! He even issues ObamaCare regulations forcing pro-life
Americans to purchase health care plans that include abortions.
Experts
believe ObamaCare will also force
pro-life doctors and pro-life Christian hospitals to perform abortions if they
want to stay in the medical field. . . even though every doctor takes an oath
to do everything in their power to protect and save lives.
There's
no end to all the ways President Obama and his Administration are assaulting
every principle, and every moral value that built this magnificent Republic. The primary weapon Obama and the Left are
using in this war on the American idea on faith, family, and freedom — is ObamaCare.
But,
of course, I don't have to tell you all this. You know exactly what's happening
— and how President Obama is systematically dismantling the America you love. I also believe we have one last chance to
save America the 2014 Congressional Elections.
"The 2014 Project" — Our Battle Plan
As I
mentioned earlier, Faith & Freedom
will be focused on the nine key battleground Senate races and 45 battleground
House races. The conservatives must win six of these nine Senate races for
Harry Reid to lose his job as Senate Majority Leader. We'll then be in a strong
position to UNDO ObamaCare.
The
three Senate races where conservatives have the best chance are . . .
MONTANA: Sen. Max
Baucus (D) is retiring. So this is an
open seat in a state that votes reliably conservative in Presidential
Elections. This is a great opportunity for a conservative pick-up. Baucus is
the author of ObamaCare in the Senate. He's retiring because he does not want
to face the voters of Montana in 2014.
SOUTH
DAKOTA: Sen. Tim Johnson (D) is retiring. So this is another open seat in a state that voted
overwhelmingly for Romney in 2012. In other words, another great chance for a
conservative pick-up here.
WEST
VIRGINIA: Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D) is retiring. So this is another open seat in a
state that voted heavily for Romney and, therefore, another great chance for a
conservative pick-up.
Conservatives
also have excellent opportunities in these four contests for seats now held by
Democrats in conservative red states that voted decisively for Mitt Romney in
2012.
NORTH
CAROLINA: Sen. Kay Hagan (D) is a weak Democrat incumbent in a state that
voted for Romney. Great chance for conservatives here.
ALASKA: Sen. Mark
Begich (D) is considered very
vulnerable. This state votes reliably conservative.
ARKANSAS: Sen. Mark
Pryor (D) is in big trouble because
of his vote in favor of the very unpopular ObamaCare law. Arkansas has been voting reliably conservative.
LOUISIANA: Sen. Mary
Landrieu (D) is among the most
vulnerable Democrat incumbents, due to her vote for the very unpopular ObamaCare law. Her vote on ObamaCare
was bought with the notorious $100,000,000 "Louisiana Purchase."
There
are also two open seats (now held by Democrats) in states that voted for Obama
in 2012:
IOWA: Leftist
Sen. Tom Harkin (D) is retiring. So
this is another open seat and a great chance for a conservative to pick up this
Senate seat.
MICHIGAN: Leftist Sen. Carl Levin is retiring. ObamaCare is very unpopular with the
labor unions, so conservatives have a great chance to win this seat.
As
you can see, the Senate election map for 2014 heavily favors solid conservative
gains in the Senate — with a realistic chance for conservatives gaining
majority control . . . IF we're able
to fully carry out the following Battle Plan we have put in place, including:
1)
Register 2,000,000 brand new conservative and Christian voters in the battleground states
and districts;
2)
Distribute 30,000,000 VOTER GUIDES to highlight which candidate supports ObamaCare and which candidate would
VOTE to REPEAL ObamaCare;
3)
Mail 20,000 VOTER EDUCATION letters and cards in these states and districts;
4)
Send 40,000,000 VOTER EDUCATION emails;
5)
Conduct a major advertising campaign on the Internet;
6)
Air more than 25,000 broadcast advertisements in these battleground states and districts;
7)
Make more than 10,000,000 VOTER EDUCATION phone calls;
8)
Deploy Faith & Freedom's army of volunteers and
field workers to knock on 1,000,000
doors and to visit personally with conservative and Christian voters to explain
what's at stake in the 2014 Congressional Elections;
9)
Conduct the largest absentee and early-voting program targeted at conservative and Christian voters ever
seen in American history for a mid-term Congressional Election (one-third of
votes will be cast before Election Day by absentee ballot and early-voting);
10) Continue to
mobilize Faith & Freedom Coalition's
700,000 members and supporters to attend Tea Party rallies, Congressional Town
Hall meetings, and other patriotic events to express their strong public
opposition to ObamaCare and Obama's radical agenda to "fundamentally
transform" America; and
11) Maximize
conservative Christian voter turnout on Election Day in these battleground states and districts. We'll be
doing this primarily with a mammoth and highly sophisticated phone bank,
door-knock, and text message program made possible by Faith & Freedom's enormous database of conservative and
Christian voters we've been building now since 2009.
On
Election Day, we will even send vans to the homes of voters who have not yet
voted and who need a ride to the polls. Throughout the final 30 days before
Election Day, we will track in real time who has voted absentee and in early
voting. We will also be tracking in real time on Election Day who has voted and
who hasn't — so we can give those who have not voted that extra push they need
to vote.
In
total, Faith & Freedom expects
to make more than 100,000,000 contacts and communications with Christian voters
in the nine battleground Senate race states and 45 House races we are
targeting. The focus of all our communications with voters in these key
battleground states and districts will be the disaster of ObamaCare.

will make sure every voter in these states and districts understands what's at
stake in this Election. Specifically, we will make sure every voter understands
which candidate supports ObamaCare .

And
we will make sure every voter understands that this mid-term Congressional
Election is probably the most important Election of our lifetimes because this
election likely represents our last real chance to UNDO and REPEAL ObamaCare.

Congressional Research Survey on ObamaCare] President Obama brazenly lied to Congress and the American people about
the true cost of ObamaCare. In a televised address to the nation, Obama
told America and Congress that ObamaCare would cost less than $1
Trillion dollars over ten years.
We
now know that ObamaCare will cost at least $10 TRILLION when you factor in the
cost to the states, the cost of the 'Individual Mandate,' the cost of increased
health insurance premiums, the $716 billion ObamaCare steals from Medicare, the
21 new taxes and tax increases contained in ObamaCare, and the increased cost
to businesses of complying with ObamaCare mandates.
Corporate
CEOs receive long prison sentences for fraud if they knowingly provide false
costs and financial forecasts to investors. ObamaCare (which passed into law by
a single vote in the Senate) clearly would not have passed if Congress had
understood the true cost of ObamaCare...
The U.S. House of Representatives is still under Republican majority control. This
means House Speaker John Boehner and the House Republican Leadership has the
power right now to stop much, if not
most, of the funding for ObamaCare. This is because the U.S. Constitution
requires that all spending and revenue bills must originate in the House...
The
Supreme Court ruled in 2012 that the federal government has no authority under

1) Pressure
Republican leaders in the House and Senate to make ObamaCare the #1 issue on
the minds of voters as we speed toward the all-important 2014 Congressional
Elections.
That's
what Senator Cruz was doing with his 21 hour and 18 minute filibuster speech on
the Senate floor. He was shining a bright spotlight on the disaster of
ObamaCare for the American people. He was telling America: "Look, here's what's about to happen to you
when the full ObamaCare law takes effect."
Well,
guess what? Ted Cruz's strategy is working. More than 2,000,000 Americans have
signed his petition demanding that Congress immediately HALT funding for
ObamaCare — which the U.S. House of Representatives has the power on its own to
do under the U.S. Constitution. The House just needs the courage to do it.
And,
by the way, the House does not need approval from the Senate or President Obama
to HALT funding for ObamaCare. The U.S. Constitution gives the "power of
the purse" to the House. The House (which is under conservative majority
control) can, on its own, simply STOP all further funding for ObamaCare...
2) FAITH
& FREEDOM is keeping the heat on the governors of the 50 states to refuse
to spend one penny of state taxpayer money on ObamaCare.
Remember,
much of the funding for ObamaCare is supposed to come from the states. This was
part of the legislative trickery by Obama and the Democrats to make ObamaCare
look cheaper than it really is.
So
far, 20 governors have said they aren't planning to spend any state taxpayer
money on ObamaCare. This is one of the reasons ObamaCare is falling apart. And
only four governors say they plan to go along with ObamaCare...
3) FAITH
& FREEDOM is making the all-important 2014 mid-term Congressional Elections
a REFERENDUM on ObamaCare — with a special focus on the Senate.
This
is really the ultimate answer for getting rid of ObamaCare. We can't fully
REPEAL ObamaCare so long as Harry Reid and the Left have majority control of
the U.S. Senate. Conservatives must win six of the nine battleground Senate
races that we are targeting...
