[12-2013 partial letter] If you agree with me that the Democrats in Washington who forced ObamaCare on the rest of America should have to live by their own law then I need your help right away. From Day 1 the Democrats knew ObamaCare would be a "poison pill" for America --- that's why Obama exempted Congress from the pain of ObamaCare and gave them a huge taxpayer-funded subsidy for their healthcare that no one else gets. It was a typical backroom political deal.

Barack Obama ignored his own law and issued a special rule. So, while thousands of Americans are losing their jobs, their healthcare, their patience... Congress gets a special exemption and unfair taxpayer subsidy. Insider deals like this are why no one trusts Washington!

But we can fight back by making Washington live by the laws it passes on everyone else. Let's end the Washington exemption from ObamaCare by acting now. It really boils down to pure commonsense (1). Would you eat at a restaurant where the chef would not eat his own cooking? Of course not!

Maybe once these Democrats are forced to "eat their own cooking" they'd see just how terrible ObamaCare really is -- and exempt all of America from it!! Your End the ObamaCare Exemption for Congress Petition demands Congress do just that... "live by their own law."

I've already introduced legislation that requires all Members of Congress, staff, the President, Vice President, and all political appointees in the Administration to purchase their health insurance on the ObamaCare Exchange without the help of taxpayer-funded subsidies.

Sadly, it's not just the Democrats who are fighting against my plan to end the ObamaCare exemption for Congress. In fact, because I am willing to bluntly speak out against Washington hypocrisy and this "special deal" given to Congress, many members of my own Republican party are very unhappy with me.

The Washington establishment of both parties can publicly scold me all they want --- I take it as a badge of honor.

Because I know... if Congress doesn't do something about this train wreck and allows it to go into full effect for the rest of America... you and millions of hardworking Americans could lose access to your doctors and be forced to pay higher premiums and higher taxes.

Already more than 2 million Americans have received letters from their insurance companies notifying them that they cannot renew their health care plans. Maybe you've even gotten such a letter too? Unfortunately, that's only the beginning.

According to language buried in ObamaCare regulations from July 2010 it's estimated that between 7 million to more than 11 million Americans will be dropped from their current health care plans.

Please join me in this urgent fight by [requesting for and] signing your End the ObamaCare Exemption for Congress Petition and rushing it back to me... I hope that I can count on your help, as this is our best chance to STOP ObamaCare before it takes hold for good.

The "ruling class" in Washington must not be allowed to remain exempt from ObamaCare and receive an unfair taxpayer-funded subsidy while the rest of America suffers...
