Dear Friend of America's Prayer Network,

Will you please sign and return the enclosed "Thank You" Card to Governor Rick Scott? Your "Thank You" Card tells Florida Governor Rick Scott that you appreciate his strong stand for restoring school prayer to America's classrooms.

Rick Scott is governor of one of America's largest and most influential states. And he has just gone out on a limb and signed into law a very strong bill allowing voluntary prayer in schools.

This law could be a critical WATERSHED MOMENT in the battle to return prayer to our schools! The liberal ACLU and Americans United for Separation of Church and State know that the precedent set by this sweeping law could help bring about the return of voluntary prayer to schools throughout America.

These anti-prayer liberals are pulling out all the stops -- using their game plan of intimidation -- threatening Governor Scott and local school districts that they will "get sued" it will be "costly".

The ACLU actually sent a letter to all Florida school districts which contained over a half dozen threats to sue the school districts. The ACLU even boasted that it had just forced one school district to pay "nearly $500,000 in [legal] fees" to leftist lawyers.

This is the ACLU's despicable intimidation strategy that has worked before to destroy American's hopes of returning prayer to schools. We must make sure the ACLU's intimidation strategy doesn't succeed THIS TIME...

You and I need to let him know that the ACLU does not represent the views of the majority of the American people. And we need to let Governor Rick Scott know that we will stand WITH him, AGAINST the ACLU's strategy of legal intimidation.

This could be the decisive battle for returning prayer to America's schools. So please don't sit on the sidelines and let the ACLU run roughshod over those that are standing up for YOUR values and principles and for America's religious traditions.

The ACLU is trying to convince the public that measures to restore school prayer are outside the mainstream. But nothing could be further from the truth! This school prayer law passed by a lopsided 88-27 vote.

The liberal Miami Herald even declared that "School Prayer Bill Passes with Bipartisan Support". And that was certainly the case.

Two of the supporters of the school prayer law were Democrats from the liberal bastion of Miami! The chief sponsor of the law was also a Democrat.

So don't believe the ACLU's nonsense about our cause of school prayer being extremist and out of the mainstream! Americans of all stripes are demanding the return of voluntary prayer to our schools.

And we need to stand with those public officials who are taking the ACLU's bullets to defend the religious traditions of this country, and who help provide some moral leadership for today's troubled generation.

One Democratic legislator from Miami put it best when she said "look at what just happened in Ohio (where three teenagers were shot to death at school) . The kids need to have prayer at school." And the evidence that this legislator is right is there for all to see ...

... our country has churned out more murderers, more rapists, and more robbers than ever before.

... we see more schoolgirls getting pregnant and either having abortions or giving birth to babies without a father in the home -- babies on welfare.

... we've had more school children turn to drugs to escape the realities of life -- who find inspiration in crack-cocaine instead of faith.

... children can get free condoms in school but cannot learn about Jesus.

For our children and grandchildren's sake, we must stand up for those who are standing up for school prayer. That's why I need your signed "Thank You" Card to Governor Rick Scott right away! Please rush your signed "Thank You" Card to me at America's Prayer Network headquarters today.

Senator Jesse Helms once said that America's Prayer Network is the key to getting prayer back in our classrooms, and applauded our efforts as "historically important". Senator Helms also said that America's Prayer Network deserves the support of the American people.

Senator Helms is exactly right. And during this historic campaign to restore school prayer, America's Prayer Network needs the support of Americans of faith like you more than ever. Can I count on you to sign and rush back your "Thank You" Card to Governor Rick Scott?

And can I count on you to contribute at least $25 to America's Prayer Network to assist us in our campaign to restore prayer in our children's schools?

We are trying to get one million of these "Thank You" Cards signed and sent to Governor Rick Scott. We need to print and distribute at least one million of our "Thank You" Cards to have a REAL impact.

How do I know? Because America's Prayer Network has had this kind of impact with our leaders in the past! Back in 2001, President Bush told Americans the "greatest gift" we could give him during the War on Terrorism would be to pray for him. And that's exactly what America's Prayer Network did!

America's Prayer Network collected hundreds of thousands of Prayer Cards for President Bush, and delivered them to the White House. After our Prayer Cards were delivered, one of the top White House staffers called America's Prayer Network to tell us how much President Bush appreciated all the Prayer Cards we delivered, told us how much our prayers helped the President!

But this project -- involving one million or more "Thank You" Cards to Governor Rick Scott -- is going to be very costly. That's why I need your contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or even $1000 or more to America's Prayer Network today, along with your "Thank You" Card to Governor Rick Scott.

Remember, our goal is to collect one million "Thank You" Cards to Governor Rick Scott. My staff estimates that the bill for this campaign will be at least $420,000! But we can do it with your help. There are enough Americans of faith out there to make this campaign a success.

If each of you who get this "Thank You" Card to Governor Rick Scott sign and return it with a donation of just $25 to America's prayer Network, we could afford to pay the entire $420,000 bill!
