STOP PLANNED PARENTHOOD!
Dear Friend,
Too far.
Planned Parenthood -- committing more than 330,000 abortions a year, one every
95 seconds -- taking over $500 million of your money and mine through
government grants -- has managed to sink to a stunning, sickening new low.
My
name is Jay Alan Sekulow; I serve as Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) .
For over 20 years, we've worked to
protect life and liberty -- from local school boards all the way to the
Supreme Court of the United States, where I have argued 12 cases.
We've
also been at the forefront of the pro-life movement from the beginning --
fighting for the lives of the unborn -- but now, unfortunately, Planned
Parenthood has raised the stakes.
In a
"botched" abortion -- where the abortionist fails to kill, and the
baby survives, is born alive -- Planned
Parenthood doesn't think the doctor should be obligated to save the baby,
or ease the baby's suffering, or get the baby to a hospital, or help the baby
in any way.
The
doctor, in fact, should be free to kill the baby. "Any decision that's
made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician."
That's all the further a Planned Parenthood representative, testifying before
legislators, would go.
Planned Parenthood clearly believes a
living baby has no rights. No value. No cash value, anyway. For a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, a botched
abortion would be money down the drain. The
child must die so the fee can be collected.
I
say it's time for you and me to stop funding Planned Parenthood with more than
a half-billion of our tax dollars -- half of their budget -- every year.
If
they are willing to let a living baby be slaughtered after an abortionist fails
at his grisly trade, they must be stopped. If they have grown so brazen that
they no longer even pretend to respect life -- no longer even hide their
death-wish for babies -- they must be stopped.
It
is abhorrent that you and I should be forced to subsidize Planned Parenthood's
monstrous wrongdoing.
I urge you to give a generous
tax-deductible contribution to the ACLJ to keep us at the forefront of this
battle to defund Planned Parenthood, and continue the costly, multi-faceted
fight for life on so many fronts:
Defending state laws cutting funds for abortion --
working with Congress to end taxpayer subsidies -- directly challenging Planned
Parenthood's alleged massive fraudulent practices in a major court case -- and
more.
Plus, as you give today, your gift will
be matched dollar-for-dollar -- through a $150,000 STOP PLANNED PARENTHOOD
Matching Challenge we've been offered.
This
means the impact of your donation will be doubled, up to the $150,000 total.
Your gift will go twice as far in the battle to save unborn babies from the
Planned Parenthood pro-abortion machine.
We
need your response today, as part of an immense outcry from outraged Americans,
because Planned Parenthood has a formidable ally: his name is Barack Obama.
The
President has been one of Planned Parenthood's strongest supporters since long
before he came to the Oval Office. Planned
Parenthood has openly called him their "champion."
In fact, back in Illinois, he was the
only state legislator to vote against a bill that would obligate abortionists
to help a baby after a botched abortion!
He
also personally authorized tax money to fund foreign abortions -- imposed the
notorious abortion-pill mandate -- added a monthly abortion surcharge to health
insurance plans (to Planned Parenthood's benefit)
--
helped kill a law banning gender-selection abortions -- and restored abortion
funding in various states after the people's elected leaders voted to cut it
off!
Clearly
we have our work cut out for us. But our cause is just. I urge you to join a
truly gigantic wave of outrage from millions of Americans and help the ACLJ
push for defunding the President's "darling" Planned Parenthood.
You may not hear a lot about this from
secular media. Liberals want this story to go away. We cannot let it.
Please
give as generous a tax-deductible contribution as you possibly can, right now.
You can use one or both of the enclosed Matching Challenge Notices and the
enclosed reply envelope, or give online instantly at ACLJ.org/StopMC.
We
are YOUR voice in Washington. We are YOUR voice in Congress. We are YOUR voice in
courtrooms across America. And together, we are a powerful, effective force for
the unborn.
Please
don't delay. On behalf of the babies who will live because of the gift you give
today, I thank you in advance. God bless you (ACLJ,
P.O. Box 90555, Washington, D.C. 20090-0555)!.
Yours
for life,
Jay
Alan Sekulow
Chief
Counsel
P.S. We've
posted an online video of the lobbyist testifying about botched abortions.
Nearly 700,000 viewed it in the first 24 hours. A wave is forming.
We
cannot let up now. WE NEED YOU TO BE
INVOLVED IN THIS. Please send your generous gift right away. Thanks again.
P.P.S. Your support
of the American Center for Law and Justice, based in Washington, D.C., allows us to continue protecting life and liberty.
